# Entraved Studio

> Entraved Studio is a 35-artist animation and game art production house in Kolkata, India, producing for international clients since 2011 (formerly Resurrection Design Studio). The studio is built for shot production, works either as a production partner taking a full block from layout to final comp or as capacity extension inside a client's existing pipeline, and also originates and produces its own animated series. All 35 artists work in-house at the Kolkata studio.

## Capacity

- 35 artists, all in-house
- Animation: 12 animators
- Finishing: 4 lighting artists, 3 compositors, 1 editor
- Assets: 6 modelling and texturing artists, 2 riggers, 3 FX artists
- Pre-production: 2 concept artists, 2 storyboard and animatics artists
- Throughput: approximately 11 to 13 minutes of finished animation per month on TV-series work with client-supplied assets and a defined revision count. Confirmed against style and shot complexity at scope.

## Services

- Game art outsourcing: engine-ready 3D assets, characters, environments, props and vehicles with LODs and collision, built to client spec in Unreal Engine and Unity
- Animation production: 3D animation, lighting, rendering and compositing for episodic series, film and short-form
- Pre-production: concept art, character design, environment design, storyboards, animatics
- 3D character development: design, modelling, texturing and rigging, delivered to client topology and rig spec

## Pipeline and tools

Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance, Storyboard Pro, Unreal Engine, Unity, Nuke, Fusion, After Effects.
Production tracking in the client's tracker: ShotGrid, ftrack or Kitsu.

## How engagements run

1. Brief - client sends a script, board, style frame or shot list
2. Scope - written scope, schedule and fixed price per shot, asset or minute, within two working days
3. Production - weekly reviews, one named point of contact, tracked in the client's tracker
4. Delivery - source files, finals and a handover document

## Security and confidentiality

Client material is transferred over encrypted connections. Access to each project is restricted to the artists assigned to it, and all project work is covered by NDAs at company level and, where a client requires it, with every individual artist on the production. All 35 artists work in-house at the Kolkata studio; project work does not leave the premises and cannot be copied to personal devices.

## Commercial

Indian private limited company. Export of services, invoiced in USD, EUR or GBP. Payment terms: 30 percent at start, 40 percent at midpoint, 30 percent on delivery. NDAs signed before any brief is discussed. Entraved can work to a client MSA. IP transfers on final payment unless otherwise agreed in writing.

- Cavetales - 66 episodes of 1 minute and 70 episodes of 3 minutes, in development with a French partner (Djaike Creative Studios)
- Animinies - animated rhymes for children, in development with a French partner
- Knowledge Quest - 26 episodes of 22 minutes across 2 seasons, in development with a French partner
- Toonifest - kids and family animation channel, home to Cavetales, Animinies and Knowledge Quest
